Nutting: The ONE person most upset with the winning streak?? Maybe? Likely?

All was set just two weeks ago.  The Bucs had a mid-year swoon going on and Huntington laid down the expectations that we have to get on a major winning streak to justify being BUYERS and not SELLERS by the July 31st non-waiver trade deadline.  He felt confident that his message was clear…and logical given the recent performance of the Pirates.

Then the Bucs swept the Reds, then swept the Brewers, and then played one of the BEST teams in all of major league baseball and took the first two games from the Cleveland Indians.  11 wins in a row if you’re counting.  The ALL-TIME Pirates record is 16 games straight in 1909.  (109 years ago!)

What now?  How can ownership and management justify that the Pirates have not MET THE CHALLENGE and DESERVE a chance to see the season through?

Stay tuned, as the illogical likely surfaces when dealing with the Nuttings.

Who’s this Jabroni from Texas Rangers that Bucs are rumored to be after? He’s a Closer. Why do we need a Closer?

    Rico Sanchez says:

Even if Ownership doesn’t F-things up, Hurdle will with his decisions. Great man, bad leader and manager.

    Sandy from Canonsburg says:

It’s deja vue all over again. How many times (and how many millions) does this owner bleed while making more and more money every year. We can’t blame the players…but HE lets us down every year. NUTTING—–> Public enemy # 1 for PGH baseball fans. Huntington——> PUPPET, who feeds us bullshit week after week

    Slappy from Greenfield says:

Don’t get your hopes up. It’s the Pirates after all. We will sign a washed up player to appease the few fans who are still in the Nutting cult. Then, No Nutt ington will tell us how they tried to make a deal but it wasn’t in the cards.

Blah, blah, blah. Been here before. Saw the movie. Same old ending.

Oh yeah. It’s a beautiful ballpark. (Gotta throw that line in occasionally)

    Legend says:

Whatever happened to Jung Ho Kang? Didn’t his nephew used to post updates?

    One hung Kang says:

Unc was hitting the cover off the ball in the minors, until he had a little physical setback. If he gets back up soon enough, no doubt he’ll take this team over the hump.
